Lead Solutions Architect – Strategic Customers

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data platform organization seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to work with their largest, most strategic enterprise customers across the UK and Ireland. This is a senior technical leadership role where you'll shape data and AI transformation strategies for complex organizations operating at global scale.

Based in London, you'll engage directly with C-suite executives and senior technical leaders, demonstrating thought leadership while mentoring a team of solutions architects. This role requires approximately 20-30% travel to customer sites across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Build authentic partnerships with stakeholders from developers to C-suite executives, advising on enterprise-scale data and AI transformation
• Partner with account teams and regional leadership to design engagement strategies for the organization's largest, most complex customers
• Act as a technical peer leader and mentor for the wider solutions architecture practice, guiding approaches to complex customer scenarios and executive engagement
• Design and solution complex engagements involving cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and third-party integrations
• Demonstrate a "builder culture" by creating working examples and proof-of-concepts that inspire customer CTOs and VPs to accelerate their data and AI initiatives
• Establish and maintain best practices across technical communities, contributing to thought leadership through customer-facing content and industry events

What We're Looking For

• Enterprise architecture experience: Proven track record influencing technology transformation at global enterprise scale, specifically in data and AI strategy and implementation
• Commercial acumen: Deep understanding of customer and vendor commercial motivations, enterprise sales cycles, and strategic account management
• Market expertise: Strong familiarity with the data and AI technology landscape, including major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and key independent software vendors
• Technical depth: Hands-on experience with core data and AI technologies including Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and modern data platforms
• Builder mentality: Preference for demonstrating solutions through built examples rather than presentations alone
• Executive presence: Ability to engage credibly with C-level stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Leadership and collaboration: Experience orchestrating diverse teams toward common goals and mentoring technical professionals
• Flexibility: Comfort with 20-30% travel to customer sites across the UK and regional offices
