You'll partner closely with the Honorable Pamela King in a District Court setting, developing professional competencies that shape how justice is administered in our judicial system. You'll gain practical knowledge of judicial operations, case management, and the inner workings of Minnesota's courts from a perspective few legal professionals experience.
What You'll Do
- Conduct legal research to support judicial decision-making and case analysis
- Prepare memoranda and written analyses on legal issues and case law
- Assist with judicial proceedings and courtroom operations
- Review case materials, pleadings, and court filings
- Support the judge in understanding complex legal questions and judicial procedures
- Contribute to the efficient and fair administration of district court justice
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent legal education
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Ability to understand and apply judicial procedures and Minnesota law
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in legal work
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional judicial environment
- Interest in supporting the judicial process and administration of justice
