Part-Time Psychiatrist

Youth Villages seeks a Part-Time Psychiatrist to join our clinical team in Douglasville, Douglas County, serving youth and families through evidence-based mental and behavioral health programs. As a physician in this role, you'll contribute to our mission of transforming lives through research-informed treatment across our national network.

About the Role

This part-time psychiatric position offers the opportunity to provide clinical leadership within Youth Villages' established mental and behavioral health programs. Working in Douglasville, you'll deliver comprehensive psychiatric care within our family-focused, research-based treatment models designed to preserve and restore family connections. Your clinical work will support the thousands of youth and families served annually through our programs across the United States.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and clinical evaluations of youth and adolescents
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with research-based protocols
• Manage psychiatric medications with ongoing monitoring and adjustment as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure coordinated, family-centered care
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation and progress notes
• Engage with families and caregivers as part of treatment planning and therapeutic interventions
• Consult with behavioral health specialists and treatment teams on clinical decisions

What You Bring

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Georgia
• Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry
• Experience in psychiatric evaluation and medication management
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Commitment to evidence-based, family-centered treatment approaches
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
