About the Role
As a Family Intervention Specialist with Youth Villages, you'll provide direct support to families navigating complex challenges. Working in a clinical capacity, you'll help identify family strengths and barriers, develop tailored intervention strategies, and guide families toward sustainable positive change. Your work will be grounded in evidence-based practices that have successfully transformed lives across the nation.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive family assessments to understand dynamics, strengths, and areas for growth
- Collaborate with youth and family members to create personalized intervention and treatment plans
- Provide counseling, coaching, and psychoeducational support to families
- Connect families with community resources, services, and support systems
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and document outcomes
- Partner with colleagues, supervisors, and community agencies to ensure coordinated care
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field
- Experience working with families, youth, or in a clinical or community support role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and solution-focused in challenging situations
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel within the service area
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to serve families
