About the Role

This full‑time role centers on bridging the gap between skilled training and real‑world job opportunities. You will work closely with program staff, employer partners, and participants to identify career pathways that align with each graduate’s strengths and the local labor market.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain relationships with businesses in Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas to create job openings for program graduates.
• Conduct individualized career assessments, helping participants articulate their transferable skills and set realistic employment goals.
• Facilitate workshops on résumé writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies tailored to trade‑focused careers.
• Match candidates with suitable positions, coordinate interviews, and provide follow‑up support to ensure successful placements.
• Track placement outcomes, maintain accurate records in the case management system, and report metrics to the Program Director.
• Stay informed about regional workforce trends, apprenticeship programs, and credentialing requirements relevant to the trades.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in job development, employment counseling, or workforce development, preferably with a focus on vocational or trade programs.
• Strong networking abilities and a track record of engaging employers to secure job opportunities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse job seekers.
• Familiarity with local labor market resources, job boards, and community organizations in Pineville and Mecklenburg County.
• Proficiency with case management software or CRM tools for tracking candidate progress and employer interactions.
