About the Role
As an Adjunct Instructor in our College of Nursing, you will play a vital role in educating and mentoring the next generation of nursing professionals. This position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality instruction in nursing theory, clinical skills, and evidence-based practice to undergraduate and/or graduate students, contributing directly to the excellence our programs are known for.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned nursing courses across theory and clinical settings
- Develop and deliver course content aligned with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards
- Assess student learning through exams, projects, clinical evaluations, and other appropriate methods
- Mentor and advise students on academic progress and professional development
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice, research, and educational innovations
- Collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure curriculum consistency and quality
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities as required
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (required for most positions)
- Active nursing license in Ohio or ability to obtain one
- Current experience in clinical nursing practice
- Strong teaching skills and ability to engage diverse learners
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and educational assessment
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
