In-School Suspension Monitor

Muskogee Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, full-time In-School Suspension Monitor for the 6th and 7th Grade Academy. In this support staff and behavioral specialist role, you'll provide direct supervision and support for students during in-school suspension, maintaining a safe, structured environment that encourages accountability and academic progress. The position is available beginning August 10, 2026.

About the Role

As an In-School Suspension Monitor at Muskogee Public Schools, you'll oversee students assigned to our in-school suspension program, combining behavioral supervision, administrative support, and student engagement. This position helps students understand the consequences of their choices while staying connected to their education and classroom learning. You'll coordinate closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support school discipline goals and student development.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and monitor students in the in-school suspension program, ensuring compliance with school conduct expectations and discipline policies
• Maintain a structured, respectful learning environment where suspended students complete coursework and engage in reflection
• Document student behavior, attendance, and academic progress during suspension periods
• Collect academic assignments from teachers and ensure suspended students have access to their coursework
• Enforce school discipline and conduct policies with consistency, fairness, and professionalism
• Provide appropriate supervision and support during transitions and breaks
• Collaborate with school counselors and administrators on behavioral documentation and follow-up
• Complete program reports and maintain records as required by school administration
