Human Resources Generalist

REDspace seeks a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Bedford, Halifax region. In this full-time role, you'll deliver comprehensive HR support across recruitment, employee relations, and compliance, partnering with managers and team members to create a positive workplace culture and drive organisational success.

What This Role Involves

As HR Generalist at REDspace, you'll manage the complete employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding through professional development and offboarding. You'll support managers in navigating employment matters, help design and deliver HR programmes that strengthen our culture, and ensure all HR practices meet legal requirements and industry standards. This is hands-on work where you'll be the go-to HR partner for both leadership and staff.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment efforts, including job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer management
• Develop and execute onboarding programmes to integrate new employees successfully
• Support employee relations by addressing questions, concerns, and workplace issues impartially
• Administer HR policies, employment contracts, and documentation to maintain compliance
• Coordinate performance management processes, including goal-setting and appraisal cycles
• Manage benefits administration, payroll coordination, and leave tracking
• Design and deliver HR training programmes and cultural initiatives
• Maintain HRMS and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality

What You Bring

• 2–5 years of HR experience in a generalist, operations, or business support capacity
• Strong knowledge of employment law, workplace standards, and HR best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust across all levels
• Proficiency with HR systems and comfortable learning new platforms
• Organised, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple priorities
• Ability to balance confidentiality with open, collaborative problem-solving
• Familiarity with Canadian employment regulations (an asset)
