Human Resources Assistant

Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant plays a critical role within our HR department, delivering comprehensive administrative support that keeps our recruiting, onboarding, and compliance functions running smoothly. You'll work alongside our HR team to ensure that all personnel processes align with our institutional standards and regulatory requirements, while supporting a welcoming experience for new and existing employees across our campuses.

What You'll Do

• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting positions, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer materials
• Support employee onboarding workflows, from new hire paperwork through orientation coordination and system setup
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with institutional policies and applicable employment law
• Prepare and distribute HR communications, policy updates, and departmental announcements
• Process employment forms, benefits documentation, and personnel file updates with accuracy and confidentiality
• Schedule HR meetings, maintain department calendars, and organize training sessions
• Handle general HR administrative tasks that support our broader talent and people operations

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or HR certification preferred
• Proven administrative experience, ideally in human resources or a related role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning HR-specific software systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work collaboratively with HR staff and across campus departments
