Head of Finance (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential renewable energy technology client in their search for an experienced Head of Finance. This is a strategic leadership role based in Munich, working directly with the CFO to build and scale the finance function during an exciting growth phase.

You will own financial planning and analysis, business controlling, cash management, and reporting while acting as a trusted finance business partner across the organization. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and offers significant ownership in shaping a modern, scalable finance function.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and financial modelling
• Build transparency around business performance through meaningful KPIs, reporting, and profitability analysis
• Act as Finance Business Partner to Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and the leadership team
• Own cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital management
• Support the CFO with management and board reporting, fundraising, financing activities, and strategic finance topics
• Drive development, digitalization, and automation of finance processes, systems, and reporting
• Lead and develop the finance team to support the next stage of organizational growth

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Business Controlling, or Finance Management
• Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance management
• Experience with cash flow management and working capital optimization
• Strong analytical and business partnering skills with the ability to turn financial data into actionable insights
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Strong Excel skills and experience with BI and ERP systems
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on and entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent German and English communication skills
• Ability to build structures in a fast-growing environment
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, energy, renewable energy, or technology environments is a plus
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred
