Position Summary

This Family Law /Wills and Estates Lawyer (Graduate-2 years) role with AFL Recruitment places you at the side of a senior practitioner leading a high-performing family and estates practice located in The Rocks, Sydney. Responsibilities

• Support the head of the family law and wills and estates practice with case preparation and daily workflow management
• Contribute hands-on to client issues spanning separation, parenting arrangements, property settlements, estate administration and will preparation
• Draft letters, agreements, court forms and supporting documents under senior supervision
• Attend meetings and conferences to gather facts and help resolve sensitive family and succession concerns
• Coordinate file administration, research and follow-up actions that keep matters progressing smoothly
• Work closely within the team to deliver practical outcomes for clients across The Rocks and greater Sydney

Requirements

• Law graduate or solicitor with between zero and two years’ post-admission experience suitable for the Family Law /Wills and Estates Lawyer (Graduate-2 years) level
• Demonstrated interest or foundational knowledge in family law together with wills and estates practice areas
• Capacity to work productively as assistant to a senior lawyer while taking ownership of delegated tasks
• Clear written and verbal communication skills suited to confidential client discussions
• Organised approach, attention to detail and readiness to learn within a busy practice environment near The Rocks, Sydney
