Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Direct the design and delivery of youth support programs that foster independence and community connection

• Partner with families, carers and other providers to create coordinated, person-centred plans
• Review progress measures and refine approaches that strengthen everyday outcomes for clients
• Share practice knowledge and facilitate team learning sessions that raise collective capability
• Build local linkages that expand participation options available to youth in the Beresfield, Newcastle Area

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in allied health, psychology, social work, human services or a comparable discipline
• Demonstrated experience working with young people who have disability support needs
• Proven leadership skills that include guiding, coaching and developing staff
• Clear understanding of the social model of disability and strengths-based methods
• Strong communication, planning and organisational capacities
• Capacity to work effectively inside a multi-hub allied health team such as Everyday Independence
