Udio is hiring a Head of Artist Partnerships in Los Angeles (preferred) or New York City to build and lead the company's relationships with the artists, managers, and labels shaping the future of music. This full-time leadership role puts you at the center of how creators discover, join, and thrive on the Udio Artist Platform.

About the Role

As Head of Artist Partnerships, you will be Udio's leading external voice for artist engagement, owning relationships with creators, their representatives, labels, publishers, and other key players across the music industry. The mission is to grow trusted, durable partnerships that expand participation on the Udio Artist Platform. You'll blend strategic relationship-building with hands-on deal execution while partnering closely with internal product, legal, and leadership teams so artists are onboarded smoothly and well-supported for the long term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive outreach, relationship development, and negotiations with artists, managers, labels, publishers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Move artists from first conversation through onboarding and sustained engagement on the Udio Artist Platform.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact, championing artist interests internally while advancing Udio's strategic priorities.
  • Design and evolve partnership strategies that scale across genres, regions, and artist profiles.
  • Work with legal, product, marketing, and leadership to shape participation frameworks, terms, and workflows.
  • Collect artist and manager feedback to guide product direction and platform growth.
  • Represent Udio at conferences, showcases, industry events, and private meetings.
  • Monitor partnership and engagement metrics to inform strategy and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Substantial hands-on experience with artists, managers, labels, or other music industry stakeholders.
  • A strong, credible network and established trust across the music community.
  • A track record of negotiating, closing, and managing complex deals and partnerships.
  • Outstanding communication skills that bridge creative, legal, and technical discussions.
  • A strategic mindset paired with the ability to execute directly in a fast-moving setting.
  • Ease operating at both executive and working levels, inside and outside the company.
  • Helpful extras: background at a label, music tech firm, management company, or digital platform; familiarity with artist rights, licensing, and creator-economy models; experience launching artist-facing programs; or work with emerging music technologies.
