Graphic Designer – Multi-Media Specialist

Maximus is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer - Multi-Media Specialist to join its team in Montpelier, Washington County.

About the Role

This position supports a pending federal Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) contract, focusing on turning detailed technical and non‑technical material into clear, visually engaging deliverables.

What You'll Do

• Create graphics, illustrations, and multimedia assets that simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with writers, subject‑matter experts, and program staff to understand content goals and design appropriate visual solutions.
• Develop document layouts, presentations, and digital media that meet federal branding and accessibility guidelines.
• Prepare files for print and electronic distribution, ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines.
• Maintain an organized asset library and track version changes throughout the review process.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in graphic design and multimedia production, preferably within a government or healthcare context.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and familiarity with video editing tools.
• Strong typographic, layout, and color theory skills, with a portfolio demonstrating clear, impactful visual communication.
• Understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards and ability to produce compliant graphics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a detail‑oriented mindset and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work onsite in Montpelier, Washington County, as part of a full‑time schedule.
