GIS Systemarchitekt (m/w/x) – ArcGIS Enterprise

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential GIS software organization seeking a GIS System Architect to design, dimension, install, and configure ArcGIS Enterprise environments for utility sector clients. In this role, you will provide strategic consultation on on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployment scenarios while managing ongoing system health checks, maintenance, and updates.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Dimensioning ArcGIS Enterprise environments based on expected system loads for utility customers
• Comparing and advising clients on on-premises, cloud, and hybrid operating scenarios through presentations, workshops, and technical decision documents
• Installing and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise and associated components in customer and managed-services environments
• Implementing system hardening measures and advising on required network configurations
• Creating system diagrams and installation documentation for handover to operations teams
• Conducting health checks and troubleshooting on running ArcGIS Enterprise environments
• Planning and executing maintenance activities and system updates
• Coordinating technical aspects of ArcGIS Enterprise environments within projects and preparing technical content for client proposals and tenders

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Portal within ArcGIS Enterprise environments
• Proven experience installing and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise
• Foundational knowledge of network and security requirements for ArcGIS Enterprise environments
• Language skills: German C1, English B2

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience dimensioning and sizing ArcGIS Enterprise environments
• Basic knowledge of relational databases, particularly SQL Server and Oracle
• Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, and SQL for recurring installation, analysis, and maintenance tasks
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
