GIS Analyst

• Generate professional maps, graphical representations, and digital products that convey information with clarity and precision.
• Oversee the upkeep of GIS datasets and systems, implementing changes and validations to guarantee ongoing accuracy and usefulness.
• Assist team members by fulfilling requests for custom spatial data extractions, maps, and analytical support.
• Evaluate emerging tools and practices in the GIS field to recommend enhancements to current processes.
• Record all analytical steps and results systematically, producing concise reports for internal use and stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Working knowledge of leading GIS applications for data creation, analysis, and visualization in professional environments.
• Understanding of fundamental and intermediate concepts in spatial science, including topology, geoprocessing, and metadata standards.
• Background in converting raw geographic data into insightful analyses that address practical questions.
• Capability to use query languages and basic programming support within GIS workflows for efficient data handling.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills that enable the sharing of technical results through accessible maps and narratives.
• Relevant academic preparation or equivalent experience in fields such as GIS, geography, or earth sciences, with a portfolio of related work preferred.
