About the Role

As a high school Family and Consumer Science educator, you'll teach engaging CTE curriculum that prepares students for both further education and direct entry into careers in food science, nutrition, family studies, hospitality, and related fields. You'll deliver hands-on instruction in a dynamic classroom and laboratory setting, guiding students through real-world applications of academic concepts.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver comprehensive lessons in Family and Consumer Science aligned with state standards and CTE frameworks
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners and promotes active engagement
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance data
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and participate in school events and professional development
• Manage classroom resources, equipment, and laboratory materials responsibly
• Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular connections and school improvement goals

What We're Looking For

• Valid Utah teaching certification or eligibility in Family and Consumer Science, or equivalent qualifications
• Strong knowledge of CTE curriculum standards and career pathway frameworks
