Founding Engineer Intern

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded AI infrastructure startup in Munich that is building next-generation search optimization technology. Our client is backed by notable investors and already working with enterprise customers across Europe.

We're seeking a Founding Engineer Intern for a 10-week paid program where you'll work directly with the founding team to build AI-powered systems that go into production quickly. This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving environment with potential for conversion to a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy features across AI agent systems and content automation pipelines
• Design and optimize AI workflows and low-latency inference systems
• Prototype rapidly, test with real users, and iterate based on feedback
• Work across the full stack using modern AI development tools
• Ship code that reaches production within days of development

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to ship real projects independently—whether a product, app, open-source contribution, or side project with actual users
• Strong coding fundamentals with the ability to work autonomously
• Hands-on approach and ability to adapt quickly when priorities shift
• Experience with Claude Code or Cursor (required)
• Modern web stack skills (TypeScript, React, Next.js) are a strong plus
• Clear communication and collaborative working style
• Authorization to work in Germany for the internship duration

Pay
