Floor Manager

Unique Personnel is recruiting a Floor Manager to lead operations at one of our client sites in South Africa. This full-time position offers the opportunity to take complete ownership of floor management, overseeing daily operations and driving team performance in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.

Role Overview

As Floor Manager, you will be the driving force behind smooth, efficient floor operations. Your responsibilities span every aspect of the working floor—from staff coordination and quality assurance to safety compliance and operational excellence. You'll be expected to manage all elements of the floor environment, ensuring that processes run seamlessly, standards are maintained, and your team delivers consistent results. This role reports directly to senior management and offers significant autonomy in operational decision-making.

Core Duties

• Lead and manage floor staff, driving productivity and ensuring compliance with operational standards
• Manage daily operational workflows, schedules, and resource allocation across the floor
• Oversee quality control and ensure adherence to safety procedures and company protocols
• Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and support staff development
• Identify and resolve operational challenges to maintain efficiency and performance
• Maintain accurate records and report floor performance metrics to senior management
• Foster a safe, professional working environment and promote team engagement

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a floor management, supervisory, or operations leadership role
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
• Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Background in retail, manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics environments is advantageous
