Position Summary

As a Financial Sales Intern at Premium Merchant Funding, you'll support our sales team in identifying, qualifying, and engaging business owners seeking capital solutions. You'll gain practical exposure to the complete sales cycle—from initial prospecting through closing conversations—while learning how merchant funding operates in real-world scenarios. This role combines client relationship-building with structured sales processes, giving you a foundation in consultative selling and financial products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to prospective merchant clients via phone, email, and video conference to introduce funding solutions
• Qualify leads by gathering information about business history, revenue, and funding requirements
• Collaborate with senior sales representatives to prepare sales presentations and product proposals
• Maintain detailed records of all client interactions in the CRM system
• Follow up with prospects to address questions and move opportunities through the pipeline
• Assist with market research and competitive analysis to support sales strategies
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to develop knowledge of merchant funding products and industry trends

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's program (business, finance, economics, or related field preferred)
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with ability to engage diverse business audiences
• Self-motivated and comfortable with structured prospecting and consistent follow-up
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new software platforms

• Reliable transportation to our Midtown Manhattan location and ability to work full-time hours
