About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer I with Honeywell, you'll travel to customer sites throughout the region to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade Quality Control Systems, industrial control systems, scanners, sensors, and associated hardware and software platforms. You'll work directly with production teams to understand operational challenges, implement technical solutions, and keep critical manufacturing equipment running smoothly. This role combines hands-on technical work with professional customer interaction.
What You'll Do
- Perform on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of Honeywell QCS hardware and software systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues affecting customer operations
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance routines to minimize production downtime
- Conduct system upgrades and troubleshooting of scanners, sensors, and control system components
- Provide technical support and training to customer personnel on system operation and maintenance
- Document service visits, technical findings, and solutions for internal and customer records
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to ensure quality service delivery and customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- Technical foundation in electrical systems, mechanical equipment, or industrial instrumentation
- Troubleshooting ability and capability to learn complex control systems and sensor technology quickly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations throughout the service region
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification, apprenticeship, or field service experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
