Position Summary

As our Textbook Department Supervisor, you'll play a central role in managing inventory, sales operations, and team performance within our campus retail store's textbook section. Working directly with students, faculty, and administrators, you'll ensure accurate stock levels, efficient point-of-sale operations, and exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise textbook department team members and guide daily operations to achieve sales and customer service excellence
• Manage textbook inventory, ordering, receiving, and merchandising to maintain product availability throughout the academic year
• Oversee customer transactions, textbook returns, and buyback program execution with accuracy and professionalism
• Train and mentor staff on inventory systems, point-of-sale procedures, and company service standards
• Coordinate with store leadership to meet performance targets and address operational needs
• Maintain a safe, organized, and fully compliant retail environment

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated retail supervisory or leadership experience, ideally within a college bookstore or educational retail environment
• Strong organizational and inventory management capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage professionally with diverse customers and team members
• Hands-on experience with point-of-sale systems and retail management technology
• Dedication to outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming retail experience
• Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends and during high-volume academic periods as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional college education preferred
