Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain Epic Inpatient Orders and related orderset content within the EMR environment
• Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective inpatient order and orderset workflows
• Troubleshoot Orders application issues, analyze system behavior, and implement configuration changes that improve usability and accuracy
• Support go-lives, upgrades, and ongoing optimization projects involving Epic Orders and integrated EMR modules
• Document build decisions, maintain thorough change records, and provide guidance or training to end users on inpatient ordering processes
• Participate in testing cycles, validate orderset functionality, and ensure compliance with established build standards and clinical best practices

What We're Looking For

• Active Epic certification as an Orders Analyst (or equivalent Epic Inpatient Orders certification); orderset experience is preferred
• Demonstrated experience as an IT EMR Analyst focused on Epic Inpatient Orders design, build, and support
• Strong working knowledge of orderset creation, maintenance, and clinical ordering workflows in an inpatient setting
• Ability to analyze complex requirements, configure Epic applications accurately, and communicate clearly with both technical and clinical audiences
• Proven problem-solving and organizational skills suitable for independent remote work while collaborating across distributed teams
• Familiarity with standard EMR analyst practices including testing, change control, and documentation
