About the Role
As a Dog Trainer at our resort facility, you'll work directly with the General Manager to deliver comprehensive training services to our clients and their dogs. This full-time position is central to connecting pet lovers with the knowledge and skills they need to build strong, healthy relationships with their canine companions.
What You'll Do
- Assess individual dog behavior, temperament, and learning style to develop customized training programs
- Lead one-on-one and group training sessions covering obedience, behavioral correction, and skill development
- Educate dog owners on training techniques, reinforcement methods, and best practices for ongoing development at home
- Document each dog's progress and adjust training approaches based on results and owner feedback
- Ensure a safe, controlled training environment and handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with confidence
- Maintain training records and communicate regularly with clients about achievements and next steps
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience training dogs, with certification or formal education in canine training, behavior, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of positive reinforcement, behavioral modification, and obedience training methods
- Excellent communication skills to explain training concepts clearly to dog owners from all backgrounds
