Community Counseling Solutions is hiring a Crisis Mental Health Specialist III/IV in Condon, Gilliam County, Oregon. We're seeking a qualified mental health professional to provide compassionate crisis intervention and support to individuals and families facing acute emotional and behavioral challenges.
About the Role
As a Crisis Mental Health Specialist III/IV, you'll serve as a critical resource for individuals experiencing mental health crises across Gilliam and Wheeler Counties. This full-time position requires 40 hours per week and involves responding to emergency situations, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating care with community partners. You'll report to the Clinical Supervisor and participate in our 24/7 crisis response system.
What You'll Do
- Assess individuals in crisis situations and evaluate risk factors to determine appropriate interventions
- Provide immediate crisis counseling, de-escalation techniques, and emotional stabilization support
- Connect clients with ongoing treatment resources, stabilization services, and community mental health programs
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and clinical outcomes
- Respond to crisis calls and work flexible hours including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Collaborate with clinical teams, hospitals, law enforcement, and social service agencies
- Participate in team meetings and continuing professional development activities
What We're Looking For
- Current QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) certification
- Master's degree in counseling, mental health, social work, psychology, or related field for Specialist III
- Doctorate or state licensure in a mental health discipline for Specialist IV
- Demonstrated experience managing acute psychiatric and behavioral crises
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for emergency response
- Flexibility to respond to urgent situations outside standard business hours
