District Human Resources Manager

Penske is seeking a District Human Resources Manager to join our Nashville, Davidson County operations. In this full-time role, you'll drive strategic human resources initiatives across our district, supporting our field teams while partnering with district leadership to build and execute our people strategy.

About the Role

As District Human Resources Manager, you'll be the HR backbone for our district operations in the Nashville area. You'll oversee all aspects of human resources management—from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and performance management. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll make a direct impact on our team's success, growth, and culture.

What You'll Do

• Lead recruitment, screening, and onboarding efforts to attract and integrate talent across district locations
• Manage employee relations, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes with fairness and consistency
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
• Partner with district leadership to develop and implement talent management and organizational development strategies
• Support training and development initiatives to build skills and promote career growth
• Coordinate payroll, benefits administration, and employee records management
• Act as a strategic advisor to district leadership on human capital decisions

What We're Looking For

• HR functional experience: proven track record in employee relations, recruitment, or HR operations
• Knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
• Strong ability to manage associate performance and development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a field-based or multi-location environment (a plus)
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar) a plus
