Director, Securities and Corporate Counsel

T1 Energy seeks an experienced Director of Securities and Corporate Counsel to lead our legal strategy and compliance efforts from our New York City headquarters. This is a full-time position with a forward-thinking solar energy manufacturer committed to reshoring U.S. manufacturing capacity.

About the Role

As Director of Securities and Corporate Counsel, you'll oversee all corporate legal matters, regulatory compliance, and securities law obligations for a rapidly scaling energy manufacturer. You'll partner directly with executive leadership and the board to ensure sound governance, manage enterprise risk, and support our mission to build a resilient domestic solar supply chain.

What You'll Do

• Direct corporate legal strategy, including securities compliance, regulatory filings, and shareholder matters
• Oversee contract negotiation, review, and management across operations, supply chain, and business development
• Advise on corporate governance, board-level matters, and organizational structure
• Manage regulatory compliance obligations and maintain relationships with government agencies
• Supervise legal staff and coordinate external counsel as needed
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks across the enterprise
• Support financing, M&A, and strategic transactions

What We're Looking For

• J.D. and admission to the bar (any U.S. state in good standing)
• 12+ years of legal experience, with substantial background in securities and corporate law
• Proven leadership experience managing legal teams and external relationships
• Deep expertise in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management
• Strong written and oral communication skills with board-level presence
• Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate legal challenges in a growth-stage company
