Director of Nursing – RN – Long Term Care

Good Samaritan is seeking a Director of Nursing - RN - Long Term Care to lead clinical operations at its Sleepy Eye, Brown County facility in a full-time capacity. The role provides a competitive hourly wage between $41 and $68.

About the Role

As the Director of Nursing, you will provide strategic oversight of nursing services, ensure resident safety and satisfaction, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within a long‑term care setting.

What You'll Do

• Direct the daily activities of the nursing team, including scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet federal and state regulations.
• Maintain compliance with licensing requirements, conduct internal audits, and prepare for regulatory surveys.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
• Manage the nursing budget, monitor supply usage, and identify cost‑effective resources without compromising quality.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, analyze clinical outcomes, and drive staff education programs.
• Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and the administration, addressing concerns and promoting transparency.

What We're Looking For

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Minnesota.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; associate degree considered with relevant experience.
• Extensive nursing background, including supervisory or management experience in long‑term care or senior living settings.
• Solid understanding of CMS regulations, state health department standards, and best practices for resident care.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and foster a collaborative workplace.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate care aligned with a faith‑based, not‑for‑profit mission.
