About the Role
Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the continent's leader in waterfowl and wetlands conservation, seeks a Director of Gift Planning for its Southern Region, covering the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. This role will focus on identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and soliciting planned and deferred gifts from individuals within this region to support Ducks Unlimited's mission.
Core Duties
- Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit planned and deferred gifts from individuals in the Southern Region states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential donors to ensure a strong pipeline of gift opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective donors.
- Collaborate with regional staff and other departments to align fundraising efforts with overall organizational goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in planned giving or gift planning, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
- Proven track record of successfully soliciting major gifts from individuals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with potential donors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with donor management software and CRM systems.
