Join The Arc Of Northeast Indiana Inc as a Direct Support Professional in Eel River, Whitley County. This part-time position offers meaningful work supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Opportunity

Direct Support Professionals play a vital role in community support services, serving as trusted advocates and caregivers. In this position with The Arc Of Northeast Indiana Inc, you'll work every other Saturday and Sunday from 3 PM to 9 PM (12-hour shifts), providing direct support and personal assistance to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve greater independence and stronger community connections. This rotating weekend schedule provides flexibility while allowing you to make a genuine, meaningful impact in the lives of those you support.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and personal care assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Help maximize each person's strengths, abilities, interests, and goals within their community
• Support individuals in building confidence, skills, and greater independence in daily living
• Assist with activities of daily living and facilitate meaningful community participation
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members
• Respond to individual needs with compassion, professionalism, and respect for personal dignity
• Follow all organizational policies and procedures, including safety and health protocols
