Dietary Aide

Ready to make a difference in healthcare? Providence Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in St Louis, Smith County is seeking a full-time Dietary Aide to support our nutrition services team and deliver quality meal services to our residents in our long-term and rehabilitative care setting.

What This Role Involves

As a Dietary Aide, you'll be a key member of our nutrition services department, contributing to the health and wellness of residents in our long-term care community. Working in a split-shift schedule, you'll prepare meals, manage food service operations, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your role bridges kitchen operations and resident care, ensuring that every meal supports our residents' nutritional needs and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks in accordance with dietary specifications and food safety standards
• Execute food handling, storage, and sanitation protocols to maintain facility compliance
• Assist with serving meals to residents and accommodate special dietary requirements
• Keep kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas clean and properly organized
• Coordinate with nutrition and care staff to address resident dietary needs and preferences
• Participate in inventory tracking and food supply management
• Support meal service operations during assigned shift hours

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Availability to work split-shift hours as scheduled
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift items, and move about the kitchen
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment
