Diesel Mechanic – Experience

Core Duties

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, powertrains, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies
• Perform routine maintenance, oil changes, filter replacements, and preventive servicing
• Conduct equipment inspections to identify wear, damage, and potential safety concerns
• Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults
• Document service records, work orders, parts used, and repair hours accurately
• Test equipment after repairs to confirm safe operation and performance standards
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to shop efficiency and safety protocols

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Service Technician
• Solid understanding of diesel engine mechanics, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail in all work
• Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and professional conduct
