Department Manager

McDonald's is hiring a Full-Time Department Manager at our Johns Pass location in Pinellas County. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, manage daily restaurant operations, and drive customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What This Role Involves

As a Department Manager at McDonald's, you'll oversee a specific functional area of our Johns Pass restaurant—whether that's the kitchen, front counter, drive-thru, or delivery operations. You'll be the go-to leader ensuring your department runs smoothly, maintains quality standards, and delivers exceptional service to every customer. Working closely with the General Manager and other department leads, you'll coordinate with your team to hit daily targets, resolve operational challenges, and keep the restaurant operating at peak efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise your assigned department, including scheduling staff, training crew members, and conducting performance reviews
• Monitor food quality, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards to meet McDonald's brand guidelines and health code requirements
• Manage inventory, supplies, and cost controls within your department to support profitability
• Respond to customer concerns and ensure a positive experience at every touchpoint
• Maintain accurate records, including labor reports, delivery receipts, and departmental metrics
• Communicate effectively with upper management and cross-functional teams to coordinate operations
• Train crew members on equipment, procedures, and customer service expectations

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of food service or restaurant management experience
• Demonstrated leadership ability and team management skills
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic math and computer literacy
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
