Data Analyst

YipitData is hiring a full-time Data Analyst for our US Remote operation. In this role, you'll work within one of our dedicated sector teams, building and maintaining the analytical products that institutional investors and Fortune 500 companies rely on to make critical business decisions across Consumer Goods, AI & Software, Cloud, Payments, and adjacent markets.

Position Summary

As a Data Analyst at YipitData, you'll take direct ownership of data products that power intelligence for top-tier institutional clients. Working closely with our Research team, you'll maintain and enhance our rigorous methodologies while leveraging our proprietary alternative data infrastructure to deliver insights on company performance, market trends, and competitive positioning. What You'll Do

• Own analytics products throughout their lifecycle—from methodology development through client delivery—ensuring accuracy and maintaining quality standards
• Analyze large-scale datasets using proprietary techniques to surface actionable intelligence about market dynamics and company performance
• Apply strong analytical judgment to refine methodologies, validate new data sources, and navigate ambiguous analytical challenges with creative solutions
• Leverage AI and automation platforms to amplify productivity, eliminate manual work, and scale analytical processes
• Partner with Research Analysts, Software Engineers, and Product teams to coordinate solutions and optimize workflows
• Identify opportunities to strengthen products and processes—whether refining a methodology, introducing new datasets, or improving team operations

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of professional analytics experience, ideally from financial services, strategy consulting, data science, or high-growth technology sectors
• Strong SQL proficiency; familiarity with Python or PySpark preferred
• Demonstrated ability to master complex analytical methodologies and build intuitive mental models of data patterns and logic
• Track record of taking ownership of analytical problems beyond assigned scope and proactively identifying what needs attention
• Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts, assumptions, and trade-offs clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort with AI tools and genuine enthusiasm for applying AI to drive higher-impact analytical work

We offer a competitive base salary of $130,000–$180,000 annually, supplemented with bonus and equity compensation. This position is fully remote within the United States. Our US headquarters are located in New York City, and income may be subject to New York State tax withholding.
