What This Role Involves

The Correctional Regional Training Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to ensure the safety and effectiveness of correctional staff. This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify training needs, designing curricula, and delivering training sessions. The manager will also oversee the evaluation of training outcomes and make necessary adjustments to enhance the quality of training provided.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for correctional staff.
• Collaborate with various departments to identify training needs and develop curricula accordingly.
• Deliver high-quality training sessions, ensuring all staff are well-equipped to perform their duties effectively and safely.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to correctional training.

Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, education, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in corrections, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and mentor staff.
• Experience in developing and delivering training programs for correctional officers and other staff members.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to corrections is essential.
