The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Metadata Manager to oversee the organization, governance, and quality of our enterprise metadata. In this role, you will develop and implement metadata standards, manage metadata repositories, and ensure consistent and accurate data definitions across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement metadata standards that align with industry best practices
- Manage metadata repositories to maintain up-to-date and accurate information
- Collaborate with data stewards, IT teams, and business units to ensure consistent use of metadata across the organization
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to metadata management
- Analyze and improve existing metadata processes for efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in metadata management, data governance, or a related field
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Familiarity with metadata standards such as DAMA-DMBOK, ISO/IEC 11179, and IEEE 830
- Experience with metadata management tools and repositories (e.g., Informatica, Talend)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work across various teams
