Position Summary
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is seeking a dedicated Grassroots Manager to support evidence-based policy and legislative solutions designed to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. This full-time position will focus on Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The ideal candidate will have experience in grassroots advocacy and a passion for fighting against cancer.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement grassroots strategies to engage local communities and elected officials.
- Campaign coordination and execution of events aimed at influencing policy change.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, advocacy groups, and policymakers.
- Analyze data and provide reports on the impact of grassroots efforts.
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in grassroots advocacy or related field.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- A passion for public health and cancer advocacy.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
