LaRiviere, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for our heavy civil and excavation division based in Twin Lakes, Kootenai County, serving the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Spokane, Washington region. This full-time position offers leadership responsibility for mission-critical infrastructure projects from planning through completion.
Position Summary
We're looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead excavation and heavy civil projects across our service territory. You'll own project delivery for complex construction work involving roads, bridges, water systems, and sewer installations, ensuring schedules are met, budgets are controlled, and safety standards are exceeded. This role offers the chance to shape how modern infrastructure gets built in the Pacific Northwest.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of heavy civil and excavation projects from initiation through closeout
- Manage complex projects involving road construction, bridge work, water infrastructure, and sewer system installations
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders to maintain schedule and quality
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to achieve financial and schedule targets
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices across all job sites
- Travel as needed to oversee active projects and manage on-site operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing heavy civil construction and excavation projects
- Demonstrated expertise with roads, bridges, water infrastructure, and sewer work
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region
