Concrete Carpenter

Concrete Strategies is hiring a full-time Concrete Carpenter to join our team in Gardner, Johnson County. This is a hands-on, on-site position for skilled tradespeople ready to build quality concrete structures from the ground up.

Role Overview

As a Concrete Carpenter at Concrete Strategies, you'll be essential to every phase of our concrete projects. Your expertise in formwork, concrete placement, and finishing will directly impact the structural integrity and appearance of residential, commercial, and industrial builds throughout the Kansas City area. This is a full-time role requiring your presence at job sites in and around Gardner, Johnson County.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Erect, align, and secure concrete forms and frameworks to specification
• Set up temporary bracing and support systems for concrete pours
• Prepare surfaces and materials prior to concrete placement
• Assist with pouring, spreading, and positioning concrete in forms
• Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools to achieve required smoothness and appearance
• Inspect formwork for accuracy and compliance with project plans
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Concrete Carpenter or in concrete formwork
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and concrete finishing equipment
• Solid understanding of concrete safety practices and OSHA guidelines
• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team
• Physical capability to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; candidates must reside within commuting distance of Gardner, Johnson County or be willing to relocate before starting
