Commercial HVAC Service Tech (Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Service Technician)

Lex Cooling, Heating, Plumbing & Electrical is hiring a full-time Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Addison, Dallas to maintain and repair light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region. As an experienced commercial HVAC service professional, you'll diagnose complex comfort issues, deliver reliable repairs, and build trust with local businesses.

About This Position

In this field-based role, you'll be the skilled technician that keeps commercial properties operating at peak comfort. Working from our Addison location and covering service calls across the DFW area, you'll tackle everything from emergency repairs to scheduled maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment. Your expertise in diagnosing air conditioning and heating failures, coupled with your ability to explain solutions clearly to facility managers and business owners, makes you essential to our customers' success. This is a hands-on position that rewards both technical competence and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair rooftop air conditioning units, heating systems, and commercial HVAC equipment
• Troubleshoot air quality and temperature control failures at customer facilities
• Perform preventive maintenance, seasonal system checks, and routine inspections on commercial HVAC systems
• Communicate repair needs and solutions clearly to property managers and business owners
• Service offices, retail spaces, and mixed-use commercial properties throughout DFW
• Maintain service records, document parts and labor, and manage company vehicle and equipment

Who We're Looking For

• EPA Section 608 refrigerant certification (required)
• Proven experience servicing and repairing commercial HVAC systems, with rooftop unit expertise
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Professional communication skills—ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation for multi-site service work
• Self-motivated work style and ability to manage your time across various customer locations
