About the Role

You'll join Gpac's estimating function as a full-time professional supporting the company's project pipeline. This position involves evaluating mechanical construction opportunities, developing cost analyses, and preparing competitive bids for complex HVAC, refrigeration, chilled water, and sheet metal projects. You'll work with a contractor well-established in serving diverse client markets and project types, providing strong technical foundation for career growth.

Your Responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings and specifications to quantify materials and labor requirements
• Build detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, chilled water systems, and related components
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation for client review
• Work closely with engineering, sales, and project delivery teams to validate estimate assumptions
• Maintain estimating records and contribute to ongoing accuracy and efficiency improvements
• Support projects across their complete lifecycle, from initial scoping through completion

Requirements

• Hands-on experience estimating scope and costs on mechanical construction projects
• Working knowledge of estimating software and industry takeoff tools
• Technical familiarity with HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, chilled water solutions, and controls
• Ability to comprehend and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or degree in construction or HVAC preferred
