Co-Founder & CEO – AI Retail Planning Autopilot

FutureSight, located in Austin, Travis County, is seeking a Co-Founder & CEO to lead Maestro, an AI-powered inventory planning platform engineered to eliminate complexity from how small and medium-sized businesses manage physical inventory. This full-time co-founder role offers meaningful founder equity and the opportunity to build a venture addressing one of retail operations' most costly, unsolved problems.

About This Position

You'll serve as Chief Executive and co-founder of Maestro, architecting an intelligent automation system that replaces manual inventory planning with AI-native decision-making. This is a true co-founder partnership with equity participation—not a salaried position. As CEO, you will set Maestro's strategic vision, define its competitive differentiation, and lead the organization through seed stage, fundraising, and growth. You'll own relationships with investors, customers, and the founding team while maintaining hands-on involvement in product strategy and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the company's long-term strategic direction, product roadmap, and market positioning within retail and inventory planning software
• Lead all fundraising activities, investor outreach, and capital strategy to fund operations and scale
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategy reaching SMB operators who manage inventory without dedicated planning resources
• Recruit, hire, and mentor the founding team across engineering, product, sales, and operations
• Establish and deepen relationships with early customers to validate product-market fit and guide roadmap priorities
• Forge strategic partnerships with ERP vendors and channel platforms to expand accessibility and integration coverage
• Manage financial planning, unit economics, and performance metrics against business objectives

Qualifications

• Successful track record founding or leading growth at early-stage venture-backed SaaS companies
• Proven executive leadership capability to recruit talent, inspire teams, and execute at scale
• Deep operational knowledge of retail, inventory management, supply chain, or related commerce disciplines
• Demonstrated strength in business development, enterprise sales, or building repeatable go-to-market models
• Working familiarity with artificial intelligence, automation, or modern optimization technologies and their business applications
• Entrepreneurial temperament; comfort navigating ambiguity and iterating quickly in startup conditions
• Established ability to close customer deals and build enduring business partnerships
