About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL holder to operate and maintain a diverse fleet of specialized vehicles at customer sites throughout Los Angeles County. This is an on-call emergency response position where you'll handle both the technical demands of equipment operation and the physical responsibilities required during active remediation work. You will support hazardous waste cleanup efforts that protect communities and the environment.
What You'll Do
- Operate heavy-duty and light-duty specialized trucks including vacuum trucks, roll-off containers, and other environmental response equipment
- Perform driving duties safely and legally, maintaining compliance with all DOT and HAZMAT regulations
- Execute non-driving operational tasks at customer sites, including equipment setup, monitoring, and site assistance
- Respond to emergency calls and urgent environmental cleanup assignments
- Maintain detailed logs, trip records, and required documentation
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating condition
- Work in varying weather conditions and challenging environments
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record
- HAZMAT endorsement on your CDL (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proven experience operating specialized heavy equipment and trucks
- Understanding of hazardous materials handling and safety protocols
- Ability to work on an on-call emergency response schedule
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Physical capability to perform manual labor and equipment operation
