About the Role

Clean Harbors is recruiting experienced commercial drivers to staff emergency response operations across Los Angeles County. You'll operate specialized heavy and light-duty vehicles—including vacuum trucks, roll-off containers, and specialized collection equipment—at customer sites throughout the region. This role blends in-cab driving expertise with hands-on field work to manage hazardous waste cleanup, containment, and transport operations safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles and specialized equipment to transport hazardous materials and waste at customer locations
• Perform both driving and non-driving tasks on and off-site, responding to emergency calls throughout Los Angeles County
• Execute hazardous waste collection, containment, and remediation activities according to regulatory and safety standards
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in compliance with DOT and HAZMAT regulations
• Coordinate with site supervisors and customers to ensure efficient, safe operations
• Document work activities and maintain records for hazardous waste handling

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement or ability to obtain one
• Professional driving record and clean background
• Experience operating heavy-duty trucks or specialized equipment (vacuum trucks, tankers, or roll-offs preferred)
• Strong knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and safe handling practices
• Physical ability to perform field work in varied weather and site conditions
• Reliability and flexibility for on-call emergency response scheduling
