Child Care Program Assistant

Join Minnetonka Public School District as a Child Care Program Assistant for our Explorers before and after-school childcare initiative in Minnetonka, Hennepin County. This part-time, year-round position offers flexible scheduling while you make a direct impact on students in grades K–5.

Role Overview

As a Program Assistant, you'll be at the heart of creating positive, enriching experiences for elementary students during before and after-school hours. You'll work alongside an experienced team to ensure every child feels supported, engaged, and safe in a welcoming program environment. Core Duties

• Supervise and support students in kindergarten through fifth grade during program hours
• Develop and lead age-appropriate activities that inspire creativity, learning, and social growth
• Establish and maintain a secure, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere for all participants
• Monitor student behavior and provide positive guidance aligned with program values
• Collaborate with program staff to communicate with families about student progress and experiences
• Help maintain organized, clean spaces where children can play and learn

• High school diploma or equivalent (or demonstrated relevant experience)
