About the Role
As an Automotive Mechanic at Mavis Tire Supply, you'll perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services that keep vehicles running safely and reliably. You'll work with modern equipment at one of our fully equipped service centers, handling everything from tire installation and balancing to brake work, suspension repairs, and routine maintenance. This is a full-time position where your technical expertise directly impacts our customers' satisfaction and safety.
What You'll Do
- Install, balance, and maintain tires on passenger vehicles and light trucks
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using specialized diagnostic equipment
- Perform brake service, including pad replacement, rotor resurfacing, and system inspections
- Execute routine maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tire rotations
- Inspect vehicles for safety issues and recommend necessary repairs to customers
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with service advisors and customers
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, steering, and suspension
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- ASE certification or willingness to obtain it
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
