Based in Gloucester, this seasonal position is ideal for an experienced sushi professional seeking summer employment, with shifts scheduled Monday through Thursday mornings only.

What You'll Do

• Oversee sushi kitchen preparation, ensuring consistent quality standards and food safety compliance throughout service
• Lead and manage kitchen team members during morning shift operations, coordinating workflow and maintaining efficiency
• Prepare premium sushi dishes and supervise ingredient preparation, plating, and presentation
• Monitor stock levels, ingredient quality, and maintain accurate inventory records
• Uphold kitchen cleanliness, hygiene protocols, and health and safety regulations at all times
• Train and develop kitchen staff on sushi techniques, quality expectations, and operational procedures

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience working as a sushi chef with strong technical knife skills and plating expertise
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment
• Solid understanding of food safety regulations, allergen handling, and kitchen hygiene standards
• Ability to maintain high standards whilst working efficiently during busy morning service periods
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to team management
• Availability to work Monday to Thursday mornings throughout the summer contract period
