Forward Air is actively seeking experienced Class A CDL Owner Operators interested in team-based over-the-road (OTR) driving opportunities in the dry van freight sector. This full-time position is based in Williamsport, Lycoming County, and offers independent owner operators the chance to maintain business autonomy while gaining access to consistent freight loads and competitive earnings in the $450,000–$500,000 annual range.

About the Role

This team owner operator position allows you to run your own trucking business while partnering with Forward Air for reliable dispatch, steady mileage, and strong revenue opportunities. Operating in the dry van segment, you'll manage long-haul routes across the country with support from Forward Air's dispatch network and freight partnerships, giving you the freedom to operate professionally on your terms.

What You'll Do

• Operate a Class A commercial truck in team configuration for over-the-road freight transportation
• Haul dry van loads across the United States with dispatch coordination from Forward Air
• Coordinate routes, schedules, and logistics with your team partner to optimize efficiency and profitability
• Maintain full compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service rules, and safety requirements
• Perform regular vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance, and upkeep on company or owner-operated equipment
• Build and maintain professional relationships with freight clients and shippers
• Manage financial and operational aspects of your owner operator business

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A) with a clean driving record
• Minimum 1 year of professional commercial trucking experience (OTR, team, or solo operations)
• Proven track record in long-haul or over-the-road trucking environments
• Strong mechanical knowledge and commitment to vehicle maintenance
• Excellent safety awareness and compliance with transportation regulations
