U.S. Xpress is hiring experienced commercial drivers for full-time over-the-road positions in Pulaski, Brown County, operating dry van trailers nationwide. If you hold a valid Class A CDL and have 1 to 5 months of professional trucking experience, this role offers competitive compensation and steady freight operations.

About the Role

This full-time OTR position features long-haul dry van operations with excellent earning potential. Solo drivers typically log approximately 2,000 miles weekly on an average schedule of 12 days out and 2 days home. Team operators average 5,000 miles per week. What You'll Do

• Operate class 8 tractor-trailers hauling dry freight on interstate and cross-country routes
• Ensure all trips comply with federal DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards
• Manage delivery schedules and coordinate status updates with dispatch
• Address routine vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed

What We're Looking For

• Current Class A commercial driver license with a clean driving record
• 1 to 5 months of prior OTR or long-haul trucking experience
• Ability and willingness to drive solo on extended routes
• Strong commitment to safety and professional driving standards
• Reliability and dedication to meeting delivery schedules

Pay and Compensation

Starting pay is 56 to 60 cents per mile based on your experience and qualifications. Solo drivers receive $2,000 sign-on bonuses and guaranteed weekly minimums of $1,400. Experienced performers earn up to $1,650 weekly or more. Team drivers access $5,000 sign-on bonuses with premium pay splits ranging from 72 to 80 cents per mile.
