About the Role

As a Business Development Representative at Nelnet Business Services (NBS), you'll be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing leads in your territory. You'll work directly with institutions seeking education technology solutions and develop a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities for our sales team.

What You'll Do

• Conduct outbound prospecting to schools, higher education institutions, and faith-based organizations
• Research and identify decision-makers within target accounts
• Qualify inbound leads and assess fit for our payment technology, education services, and learning management solutions
• Schedule product demonstrations and advance opportunities through the sales pipeline
• Maintain accurate records in our CRM system and track activity metrics
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth handoffs and customer success
• Meet territory targets and contribute to team revenue goals

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years of business development, sales development, or inside sales experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficiency with CRM tools and sales technology
• Understanding of or genuine interest in the education sector
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Drive to exceed targets and meet commitments
